PURPOSE: A container horizontal translation type dual mode trailer transportation system is provided to enhance economic efficiency and operability by eliminating the need for installing an extra complicated apparatus or component at a station to load a container. CONSTITUTION: A container horizontal translation type dual mode trailer transportation system comprises a trigger, a supporting apparatus(20), a lifting apparatus(30), a transport apparatus(40) and a drive unit(50). Trigger is installed at the track of a cargo station. The supporting apparatus comprises supporting and reinforcement frames. The reinforcement frame supports and reinforces the supporting frame. The lifting apparatus comprises a main body(36) and an actuator. The transport apparatus comprises a first transport element(42) and a second transport element(44). The drive unit is connected to the transport apparatus and fixed to the lifting apparatus.
