PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for maintaining the reaction temperature in a suitable one by the removal of heat of reaction and also capable of depressing the lowering of circulating pump efficiency, reaction efficiency and heat removal efficiency, and capable of improving the coloring depression effect with coloring depressant particles in sulfonation reaction or sulfation reaction. SOLUTION: A reactor which is used is equipped with both of a mixing vessel 1 and a recycling line 7 for extracting a part of a reaction liquid in the vessel 1, for removing the heat of the part through a heat exchanger 9 and for returning the part into the vessel 1. Sulfonation or sulfation reaction is conducted while circulating a reactant liquid mixture in such a way that the concentration of SO3-containing gas in the reactant liquid mixture which comprises a liquid organic material, coloring depressant particles and the SO3- containing gas becomes 1/10 times that of the reactant liquid mixture. |
