PURPOSE:To encode a pitch gain by combining a regression type pitch composing filter with a CELP type speech encoding system which searches an adaptive code book. CONSTITUTION:A CELP encoding part 100 retrieves a pitch period by using the adaptive code book and outputs a code vector of the adaptive code book which is specified with the searched pitch period and a composition part 140 generates a composite vector by using the code vector; and this composition vector is inputted to a regression type composing filter generated by a pitch composition part 160 by using the pitch gain of a gain table 150 as a parameter to perform pitch composition processing, thereby generating a synthesized speech. This synthesized speech is supplied to a gain evaluation part 170 and the pitch gain of the gain table 150 is selected according to the distortion quantity of the synthesized speech. |
