COMPOUND FOR TREATMENT OF FEMALE SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION

PURPOSE: Provided is a method of treating a female suffering from female sexual dysfunction(FSD), in particular female sexual arousal dysfunction(FSAD). CONSTITUTION: The method comprises delivering to the female a drug that is capable of potentiating cAMP in the sexual genitalia, in an amount to cause potentiation of cAMP in the sexual genitalia of the female. The drug may be optionally admixed with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, diluent or excipient. The drug is a phosphodiesterase(PDE) inhibitor wherein the PDE is a cAMP hydrolyzing PDE(and optionally cGMP hydrolyzing).
