PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the control accuracy and response of a clutch by making it possible to realize the state of a half clutch engagement even if clutch phasing is worsened or environmental temperature changes. SOLUTION: In the clutch controller controlling the connection of a lockup clutch 5, a control unit 4 is provided with a memory means and a calibration means. The memory means can store an initial control amount to form a predetermined half clutch engagement at the commencement of the locking action on the lockup clutch 5. The calibration means can compensate the initial control amount if the revolution of the difference between the output shaft 1a and the input shaft 2a controlled by means of the initial control amount is out of the stipulated range. |
