PURPOSE: To provide a durable hook-and-loop fastener by strongly fixing, to a base cloth, engaging element threads forming loop-like engaging elements or hook-like engaging elements in a simple form. CONSTITUTION: The hook-and-loop fastener base cloth 1 is sewed together with warps 2 and wefts 3. Engaging element threads 6 forming the hook-like engaging elements 4 and the hook-like engaging elements 5 are sewed into the base cloth 1 at a constant interval, leno threads 7 are twined along the engaging element threads 6, and the engaging element threads 6 are twined around and fixed to the base cloth 1 via the leno threads 7 before and after loops 8 formed with the engaging element threads 6. After the twining to the leno threads 7 using hot melt threads 10, the engaging element threads 6 can be welded to the base cloth 1 by melting, thereby providing the hook-and-loop fastener having high strength, flexibility, and texture. |
