The invention relates to polyester polyols having an average equivalent weig ht ranging from 200 to 4000, which are produced by reacting .alpha.,.omega.- dicarboxylic acids with 1,4-butanediol, 1,6-hexanediol, 1,3-propanediol or 1 ,5- pentanediol as well as with polyols having 3 to 6 hydroxyl groups. The inventive polyester polyols are used to produce PUR cast elastomers that hav e an improved resistance to hydrolysis.
