PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a image reader and processor having features capable of improving the accuracy of image reading on the original copy, while avoiding rise in cost. SOLUTION: The image reader, for reading images on the reflection original 1 with the line CCD sensor 10m, provides the lightning lamp 6 for lighting on the original 1 and the concave mirror 7 to light on the reflection copy 1 by reflecting the light from the lighting lamp 6. The line CCD sensor 10 reads reflected light on the reflection original 1 projected from the lighting lamp 6 and the concave mirror 7.
