<p>A sliding correlator used in a spread-spectrum receiver comprises calculating means for calculating the correlation between a data series and a correlation coefficient series and judging means for judging if any continuation of the same coefficients is present in the correlation coefficient series. The calculating means calculates the correlation according to the result of the judgement by the judging means. A sliding correlating method for a receiver of spread-spectrum communication method comprises the steps of judging if any continuation of the same coefficients is present in a correlation coefficient series and calculating the correlation between a data series and the correlation coefficient series according to the result of the judgment. The sliding correlator and the sliding correlating method can produce the similar result to the correlation determined by a conventional sliding correlator. The number of calculations is decreased, and the integrated power consumption of the sliding correlator is reduced.</p> |
