The safety system, having an emergency aperture (10) linked to a sealed tube and normally closed by a shutter (20), incorporates a water detector (30) in the form of a tablet of salt (31) which dissolves in contact with water to release the shutter. The shutter is e.g. in the shape of a piston (21) released by a spring (40) as the salt tablet dissolves.
