ENTOPATHOGENIC FUNGUS GROWING IN SNAIL AS HOST AND CULTIVATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An entopathogenic fungus growing in snail as a host and a cultivation method thereof are provided, therefore, high quality entopathogenic fungus can be rapidly mass produced. CONSTITUTION: The entopathogenic fungus is cultivated in snail mixed medium containing snails, unpolished rices, marsh snails and pupae. The method for cultivating entopathogenic fungus comprises the steps of: starving snails for 3 to 4 days to eliminate wastes and drying snails at 30 to 70 deg. C for 3 to 10 hours to prepare snail medium; sterilizing the snail medium and inoculating Paecilomyces japonica or Cordyceps militaris thereinto; incubating the snail medium at 23 to 27 deg. C, with 65 to 75% of humidity to produce mycelium of cordyceps militaris; incubating mycelium of cordyceps militaris at 15 to 20 deg. C , at 80 to 95% of humidity to produce the fruit body of cordyceps militaris.
