Insect trap esp for coffee plant bark beetle has red-coloured funnel and disperser for vapours attractive only to that species

The trap, consisting of a funnel (11) set in a jar (12) containing a water solution to drown the insects, and an attractant medium, has the funnel made red in colour and the attractant medium in the form of vapours that are attractive to the coffee plant bark beetle alone. The vapours are diffused from a nozzle (15) on a small flask (16) of an attractant liquid such as a methanol-based solution. The flask is held in place by fins (17) fitted to the top of the funnel and also red in colour.
