<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical element (device) with easy alignment, capable of the miniaturization and arraying, and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: A fiber shape light element is comprised of a fiber covering having heat resistance of 100 deg.C or more, and optical fibers has a transparent electrode provided at the end face and the side face. Then, a pair of the optical fibers provided with the transparent electrode in the end face and the side face to face with a interval of the end faces, is arranged so that both optical axes may be aligned. A material and element, having electro-optic effect and the optical modulation effect are filled with or inserted in gap between the end faces of the optical fibers, the intensity of the light and the polarized wave are controlled, or the wavelength is selected.</p> |
