PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording controller which is capable of efficiently retrieving a multiplicity of the information recorded on a recording medium. SOLUTION: A user selects the paths and speech information up to a folder in which the speech information desired to be registered in the list of an HDD 22 is recorded from a menu displayed on a liquid crystal display 6 by using an operation panel 8, by which track names and album names are registered in the list. The formed list is recorded on the HDD 22. In reproducing or outputting the speech information, the user is able to select the recorded list. When the list is selected, the speech information is detected, reproduced or outputted from the HDD 22 in accordance with the track names and album names of the speech information recorded in the list.
