PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery that secures safety of usage as a battery of 4V class output voltage and has an excellent charge and discharge cycle characteristics. SOLUTION: In a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a positive electrode having a lithium transition metal compound as a positive electrode active material, and a negative electrode having a material capable of insertion and separation of lithium ion as a negative electrode active material are immersed in a non-aqueous organic electrolyte having a lithium salt dissolved therein. For the organic electrolyte, a lithium ion system supporting salt dissolved in trialkoxyphosphorsulfonylalkoxide, as expressed in the following formula, that is, P(OR)3=N-SO2(OR) or a mixture of solvent containing this organic compound is used; (wherein, R is CnH2n (n=1 to 5), or CnH2n, in which part of H atom is substituted by F atom.). |
