A dish washer has a housing in which a rinsing chamber is to be found that has a loading opening which is to be found on an end-side loading door. This can be opened into an essentially horizontal position by a complex sliding and rotating movement. The door (4) is connected with the housing (3) by a linkage that comprises an upper lever (1) and a lower lever (2). On one hand they are hinged freely on the housing about corresponding first rotary pegs and on the other hand, freely around the door about corresponding second rotary pegs. When the door is closed, the rotary peg of the upper lever is to be found essentially vertically above the second peg of the lower lever and horizontally in front of the first peg of the lower lever on a plane below the first peg. In the essentially horizontal position of the door, the second peg of the upper lever is located essentially horizontally before the second peg of the lower lever on a plane between the first two pegs.
