COMMUNICAITON TERMINAL AND CELL SEARCH METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily search for a cell without increasing the scale of hardware. SOLUTION: A threshold decision circuit 151 makes threshold decision on correlation outputted from correlators 104-1 to 104-n for searching. An order determining circuit 152 sequences phases outputted from the threshold decision circuit 151 in the descending order of the correlation. A candidate path determining circuit 153 determines phases having large correlation in short integration as candidata paths in order, assigns them to the correlators 104-4 to 104-n, and outputs a control signal for generating an operation clock based upon the assignment result to a clock generator 106. A demodulation phase determining circuit 154 judges the candidata path having the largest correlation in long integration to be most suitable for demodulation and outputs a control signal for generating an operation clock based upon the judgment result to the clock generator 106.
