PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a sensor for sensing the movement of a human body at the almost center of an indoor ceiling and to prevent the decline of the sensitivity of the sensor at the corner of a room. SOLUTION: Output signals from the sensor 5 equipped on a lighting fixture 3 attached at the almost center of the ceiling 2 inside the room 1 for sensing the movement of the human body 4 of an aged person or the like are supplied through indoor wiring (communication channel) 6 to a communication channel 7 and this monitoring device can monitor the movement of the human body 4 through the communication channel 7. As the sensor 5, a pyroelectric infrared ray sensing element for outputting signals in the case that the human body 4 moves is appropriate. To the communication channel 7, a so-called monitoring center 12 is connected. Also, monitoring can be performed by a portable telephone set 13 from the outdoors. It is preferable that the output signals from the sensor 5 are generated as abnormal signals in the case of not sensing the movement of the human body 4 over prescribed time (one hour, for instance). |
