PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an auto analyzer which can effectively stir a reagent and a sample and can output highly reliable analysis results, without generating carry over or the like between samples, even if a reaction vessel is made small. SOLUTION: A plurality of piezoelectric elements 35 are arranged in an array along a level height direction in the reaction vessel 11. An ultrasonic reflector 38 is set to the bottom part of a part of a constant temperature tank 12, where a constant temperature medium 13 is stored. The piezoelectric element 35 for lateral emission which is positioned to the bottom part is driven to generate lower lateral ultrasonic waves 9b. The ultrasonic waves 9b are reflected by the ultrasonic reflector 38 to become lower ultrasonic waves 8, advances along the wall face of the reaction vessel 11 and collides against the level of the sample, thereby raising part of the level. When a lateral ultrasonic wave 9a is shed onto this part, the lateral ultrasonic waves 9a reach the inclined part of the raised level of the sample. A stirring rotary flow 36 is consequently generated, starting from the level of the sample by acoustic radiation pressure of the ultrasonic wave. The sample and the reagent are mixed and stirred by this stirring rotary flow 36.
