PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical magnetic recording method which corrects the asymmetry of a regenerative signal due to mark length change of a fixed length depending on reproduction auxiliary magnetic field strength generated by reproduction auxiliary magnetic field application in magnetic domain expansion reproduction due to domain wall displacement and records record data so as to be able to obtain a satisfactory regenerative signal. SOLUTION: This optical magnetic recording method in an optical magnetic recording and reproduction system that reproduces a record mark by making an optical magnetic recording medium (disk) 1, A having a multilayer structure obtained by successively laminating at least 1st, 2nd and 3rd magnetic layers A3, A4 and A5 on a substrate A1 to be irradiated with an optical beam, magnetically transferring record data recorded on the layer A5 onto the layer A3 due to switched connection through the layer A4 without any change by utilizing the temperature gradient of a temperature distribution of the irradiated part and detecting the change of the plane of polarization of reflected light of an optical beam from the record mark where a magnetic domain wall is displaced in the layer A3 by being transferred to the layer A3 and heated by the optical beam, corrects and records the record mark to be recorded on the layer A5 as much as the correction quantity of the fixed length depending on the reproduction auxiliary magnetic field strength in every mark length.
