PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an image forming device capable of always accurately performing toner replenishment by suitably restraining the excessive supply of toner after stopping power supply. SOLUTION: The toner replenishing tank 3 of a laser beam printer properly replenishes a developing device 4 with toner stored in the tank 3 by the rotating operation of a toner replenishing screw 17 provided inside the tank 3. In the case of toner replenishment, power is supplied to a DC motor by a rotational amount obtained by previously subtracting inertial rotational amout by inertial force from the rotational amount of the screw 17 necessary for replenishment essentially, whereby the developing device 4 is prevented from being replenished with the toner more than necessary. When the power is not supplied to the motor for driving the screw 17, the desired amount of toner is always stably supplied by concurrently performing control such as braking the motor. |
