Legs are joined by one or more struts to a frame and are positioned near the narrow sides of the rectangular table top or bench seat. Each frame swivels on an axle from a vertical top or seat position into a position parallel with the seat/table-top. A strut is linked by a pivot point to the frame, and ends in a strip (42) possessing an opening (43) the same size as a pin (5) on the underside of the table-top/bench-seat. A pawl (6) is movably mounted against spring (63) force into the pin which has a shaft (5a) tapering to a point in a second area (5b).
