Process to simultaneously clean and oxygenate water comprises oxygen being introduced into the water while simultaneously converting a portion of the oxygen into ozone and releasing this into the water. Ozone which does not react with substances in the water is removed from the water. Process to simultaneously clean and oxygenate water comprises oxygen being introduced into the water while simultaneously converting a portion of the oxygen into ozone and releasing this into the water. Ozone which does not react with substances in the water is removed from the water. The oxygen is removed by reduction in oxygen, exposure to ultra violet radiation or by active carbon. The mixture of oxygen and ozone is released and distributed by mixing within the water for a pre-determined period. After treatment with oxygen and removal of ozone from the water, a small amount of ozone is finally added to the water for cleaning purposes.
