PURPOSE:To enable a transmission image copy of an overhead projector or the like to be easily prepared in a high density high clearly by a method wherein a thermal transfer ink donor sheet and a thermal transfer ink acceptor sheet having a heat resistant lubricative layer are so stuck to each other as to face an ink layer and a monolithic construction is formed thereby. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer ink donor sheet 3 having a thermal transfer ink layer 7 on one side of a first substrate 8 and a thermal transfer ink acceptor sheet 2 having an accepting layer 4 accepting the thermal transfer ink layer 7 on one side of a second substrate 5 and having a heat resistant lubricative layer 6 on an opposed surface to this accepting layer 4 are so stuck to each other that the ink layer 7 of the thermal transfer ink donor sheet is opposed to the accepting layer 4 of the thermal transfer ink acceptor sheet 2, and a monolithic construction is formed thereby. Thermal transfer is performed by heating the thermal transfer ink acceptor sheet 2 from an opposed surface to the accepting layer 4 of the thermal transfer ink acceptor sheet 2. The thermal transfer ink donor sheet 3 which is reversed to white after thermal transfer, i.e. since a color material of a part corresponding to an image is transferred, or the thermal transfer ink donor sheet 3 in which a color material of parts other than a part corresponding to an image, is used as an image recording material. |
