BIODEGRADABLE LINEAR LOW-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE COMPOSITION AND FILM THEREOF

PURPOSE: A biodegradable linear low-density polyethylene composition and its film are provided, to improve the impact strength and tearing strength of a film without deterioration of the tensile strength, bending strength and slipping of a film. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises (a) 100 parts by weight of a mixture which comprises 30-50 wt% of a biodegradable master batch containing starch and caprolactone, and 50-70 wt% of a linear low-density polyethylene resin containing α-olefin having 4 carbons or more as a co-monomer, wherein the polyethylene resin has the melting index of 0.5-2.0 g/10 min, the density of 0.920-0.930 g/cc, and the stress exponential of 1.23-1.40; (b) 5-30 parts by weight of a high-pressure and low-density polyethylene resin which has the melting index of 2.0-15 g/10 min and the density of 0.915-0.920 g/cc and shows the characteristic of bi-modality on GC; and (c) an ethylene acetic vinyl copolymer resin which has the melting index of 0.5-5 g/10 min and the density of 0.925-0.940 g/cc and contains 5-20 wt% of acetic vinyl copolymer. The content of (c) component is 0-15 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of a mixture of (a) and (b) components.
