PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint device having strength, durability and cut-off efficiency and capable of coping with speed-up and automation of tunnel construction. SOLUTION: A male type joint includes a joint bolt 40 loosely passing through a segment and projecting the front end from the segment to provide a cone nut 42 to a projection and a widening sleeve 41 inserted into the joint bolt 40 to engage the front end with the cone nut 42 and, at the same time, equipped with a plurality of slits 43. A female type joint is used for a joint ring 50 opened in the joint face to embed, and the joint ring 50 forms a middle narrow section 53 by making a middle caliber small. When both joint faces of two segments are brought into contact with each other, the joint bolt 40 of a new segment to be clamped is inserted into the joint ring 50 of the existing segment, and the cone nut 42 reaches a section deeper than the middle narrow section 53 of the joint ring 50. |
