MOLDED ARTICLE HAVING SPONGY MEMBER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE MOLDED ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article having a spongy member for which neither an adhesive nor a component for fixing is used. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin member 1 in a prescribed shape and a flexible foamed member 5 constituted of a material different in the kind from the member 1 are brought into contact with each other. A welding horn 10 of an ultrasonic welding machine is brought into pressure contact with the surface of the flexible foamed member 5 and a part of the thermoplastic resin member 1 is melted by ultrasonic vibrations. The resin thus melted is infiltrated into the flexible foamed member 5 and hardened.
