PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein that is useful as a medicine for preventing and treating a disease such as hypoglycemia, and to provide a DNA encoding the protein, wherein the protein and the DNA are useful as agents for screening a compound inhibiting the binding of the protein with IRAP (insulin responsive aminopeptidase) or GLUT4 (glucose transporter 4), wherein the compound is useful as a medicine for preventing and treating a disease such as melitemia and diabetes. SOLUTION: A new protein, a DNA encoding the protein, a method for producing the protein, a medicine containing the protein, an antibody against the protein, a method for screening a compound inhibiting the binding of the protein with IRAP, and a compound obtained by the screening, are provided. |
