PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the control device of an elevator reducing the execution frequency of equal charge of a power storage device and enhancing energy saving effect. SOLUTION: This control device of an elevator is equipped with a converter 2; an inverter 4; a power storage device 11 installed between DC bus bars; a charge/discharge control circuit 15A for controlling the charge/discharge of the power storage device; and a charge/discharge state measuring device 14A for measuring at least one of the temperature, the charge/discharge current, and the charge/discharge voltage of the power storage device. The charge/ discharge control circuit 15A sets the execution of the equal charge of the power storage device based on the output of the charge/discharge state measuring device, and executes only the necessary equal charge to constitute the elevator having the power storage device having high energy saving effect.
