SILANE MODIFIED POLYAMIDE-IMIDE RESIN, ITS RESIN COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silane modified polyamide-imide resin capable of providing a cured material maintaining flexibility and extensibility being essential performances of polyamide-imide resin and yet much improved mechanical strength and heat resistance and its resin composition and to provide a method for producing the resin. SOLUTION: This silane modified polyamide-imide resin is characterized by subjecting a polyamide-imide resin (1) containing a carboxy group and/or an acid anhydride group at a molecular end and a glycidyl ether group- containing alkoxysilane partial condensate (2) obtained by a dealcoholization reaction between a glycidol (A) and an alkoxysilane partial condensate (B) to a ring-opening esterification reaction. A composition of the silane modified polyamide-imide resin is obtained. A method for producing the silane modified polyamide-imide resin is provided.
