PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for controlling a temperature of a nozzle for an injection molding machine capable of automatically switching a set value input to a setter in response to a molding operation state. SOLUTION: The apparatus for controlling the temperature of the nozzle for the injection molding machine comprises heaters 4, 7 mounted at an end side and a root side of the nozzle 1, thermocouples 2, 5 for measuring temperatures of the end side and the root side of the nozzle 1, setters 8, 9 for setting temperatures of the heaters 4, 7, regulators 3, 6 for controlling the temperatures of the heaters 4, 7 based on a difference signals of the measured temperatures and the set temperatures, and a selector 14 capable of setting the set values of two types to the setters 8, 9 to switch the set values in response to a molding state.
