<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide handrail support members capable of easily imparting variation of shape to each of them continuously arranged, and easily fixing them without impairing the beautiful appearance while mass-producing them. SOLUTION: The handrail support member 12 interposed between treads 14 of stairs and a handrail 10 to support the handrail 10 is constituted of a closed end cylindrical foot part 27 fixedly placed on the tread 14, a metal rod 28 inserted in the inside hollow part of the foot part 27 and provided with a fixing screw 19 at the lower end to fix the foot part 27 by screwing it to the tread 14 through a bottom plate 18, a front end rod 23 fixed by screwing a lower end screw into the upper end of the metal rod 28 to connect the upper end to the handrail 10, and a middle sleeve 24 projectingly arranged from the upper end of the foot part 7, covering the screw part 25 of the metal rod 28 and the foot end rod 23 and having the outer peripheral face closely connected to the inner peripheral face of the foot part 27.</p> |
