PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an expanded graphite and an expanded graphite mold capable of manufacturing them easily at a lower cost and safely without polluting the surrounding environment compared with the conventional method and furthermore removing the impurities in graphite. SOLUTION: The expanded graphite is manufactured by an expansion of graphite caused by a gasification of a reduced water after penetration thereof between graphite layers and then heating it. The graphite is expanded when a compound formed between the graphite layers is heated and gasified. After the expanded graphite is pressed by rolling, and the like, and molded, the expanded graphite mold is manufactured by dipping the obtained mold into reduced water. |
