PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for removing sludge in a water storage tank by using a spiral filter net and a method thereof. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus is mainly composed of the following parts; an inflow pipe; a check valve; a water withdrawal pipe; a rotating axis (2-3); a spiral filter net (2-4); an outlet net (2-5); a spiral impeller; a connection pipe; spiral brushes; a sludge withdrawal device and a pressure sensor; a withdrawn water recirculation pipe; a sludge outlet pipe; and a rotating motor.
