PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided, in which the black matrix layer formed at the front substrate has an improved structure, to thereby enhance contrast characteristics of the screen and luminance efficiency of blue color. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a transparent front substrate(21); a strip-shaped common electrode(23) and a scanning electrode(24) arranged beneath the front substrate in such a manner as to be alternate with each other; the first blue color layer(26) having a narrow width and which is formed beneath the common electrode and scanning electrode; a bus electrode(25) formed beneath the first blue color layer in such a manner as to wrap the first blue color layer, and which is arranged to be parallel with the common electrode and scanning electrode and electrified with each other; the first dielectric layer(28) deposited beneath the front substrate so as to bury common and scanning electrodes, an auxiliary luminescent member and the bus electrode; a protective layer(29) deposited beneath the first dielectric layer so as to protect the first dielectric layer; a transparent rear substrate(22) arranged to face the transparent front substrate; address electrodes(200) arranged onto the transparent rear substrate in such a manner as to be orthogonal to the common electrode and scanning electrode; the second dielectric layer(210) for burying the address electrode; barrier ribs(220) spaced apart from each other at the upper surface of the second dielectric layer so as to section a discharge space; and red, green and blue fluorescent layers(230) formed between barrier ribs. |
