PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an corrosion preventing device in an absorption ammonia refrigerating machine in which a larger quantity of oxidizing substances, e.g. oxygen, in circulating solution can be removed. SOLUTION: In an absorption ammonia refrigerating machine arranged to remove oxidizing substances, e.g. oxygen, in the system by a vacuum method or a saturation deairing method, a corrosion preventing container 14 having a corrosion preventing chamber 13 arranged with a reducing substance 12 identical to the material of a member 1 to be protected against corrosion or composed of an electrochemically baser metal is provided in the way of a piping 2 for supplying circulating solution to the member 1. A heater 15 is disposed in the corrosion preventing chamber 13, first and second temperature detectors 16, 17 detects the temperature of circulating solution at the member 1 and in the corrosion preventing chamber 13, and a controller 18 controls the heater 15 such that the temperature of circulating solution in the corrosion preventing chamber 13 will be higher than the temperature of circulating solution at the member 1 to be protected against corrosion by receiving detection signals from the temperature detectors 16, 17.
