PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable voltage controlled oscillator of small current consumption to be used in microwave bands. SOLUTION: By serially connecting a resistor 3 and a coil 4 between the emitter of an oscillator transistor 2 of a voltage controlled oscillator 1a and the GND and connecting a capacitor 5 in parallel to the resistor 3, the impedance as seeing the GND from the emitter is made high in the frequency band of a desired higher harmonic wave. Thus the output level of the desired higher harmonic wave from the voltage controlled oscillator 1a can be remarkably improved.
