<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dedicated channel assignment method for packet transmission at a control section of a MAC layer by which a wireless resource efficiency can be enhanced in the case of transmitting packet data between a mobile station and a base station in a CDMA mobile communication system. SOLUTION: The dedicated channel assignment method for packet transmission between a mobile station and a base station in a CDMA communication system including the mobile station and the base station comprises a 1st step where the control section of a medium access control(MAC) layer of the mobile station decides a service option of a packet in response to production of a packet, a 2nd step where assignment of a dedicated control channel(DCCH) is requested and the DCCH is received when the service option of the packet indicates connection type communications, a 3rd step where assignment of a dedicated traffic channel(DTCH) is requested and the DTCH is received, and a 4th step where the packet is transmitted via the DTCH.</p> |
