<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aseismatic sheath pipe propulsive work method that is for fluid transportation piping for water, gas, sewage and the like, and a propulsive device that is suitable for use in the method. SOLUTION: The propulsive work method is used for newly arranging a pipeline of main pipes in a sheath pipe by inserting and joining a spigot of each pipe in and to a socket of the preceding pipe at the rear end. With a rest mounted on a proper peripheral place on each main pipe to support it after propulsion and with the main pipes placed and supported on carriages arranged at fixed intervals, the application of driving force to the carriages connected in series with a rod or wire rope pushes forward the main pipes into the sheath pipe. After the propulsion, the main pipes are released from the support by the carriages and the carriages are drawn out of the sheath pipe to leave the main pipes supported on the rests remaining in the sheath pipe. Each carriage has a base frame with wheels rollable in the sheath pipe, a carrier vertically movably disposed on the base frame to carry or support the main pipe in a lifted position, and a lifting and lowering means for lifting and lowering the carrier relative to the base frame.</p> |
