PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the total power consumption in facsimile machine capable of performing interconnection. SOLUTION: An interconnection controlling part monitors the existence/ absence of a printing job by data transfer, and a communication controlling part monitors the presence/absence of an incoming call from a line. In the case of confirming the printing job (YES of S2), operation is shifted to printing procedure to perform an output (S3) and after the printing is finished, a monitoring loop is started again. When an incoming call comes from the line (YES of S1), the machine where the temperature of fixed roller is the highest among respective interconnected machines is selected as a machine for performing printing (S5 and S6) after the communication is finished (S4). When the machine performing printing is a self-machine (YES of S7), printing procedures are conducted (S8), and in the other machines (NO of S7), the print data are transferred to a machine performing printing (S9). After the printing, the monitoring loop is started again. After the transfer is finished, the machine performing printing outputs the document.
