The system consists of a hollow brass coupling (11) joined to the plastic pipe (13) by an end with annular ribs (12) making a force fit and an outer retaining bush (14). The other end of the coupling is connected by braze welding to a copper pipe (15) which is connected in turn to the metal union (19) on a water heater or tap by a coupling nut (18) with a seal (17).
