PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-resistive sensor capable of securing >=10% MR change ratio. SOLUTION: In a spin value film structure 1 wherein one surface of a first ferromagnetic film 120 is adjacent to one surface of a base film 126, one surface of a conductive film 122 is adjacent to the other surface of the first ferromagnetic film 121, one surface of a second ferromagnetic film 123 is adjacent to the other surface of the conductive film 122, one surface of an anti-ferromagnetic film 124 is adjacent to the other surface of the second ferromagnetic film 123 to form a switched connection and in a spin valve film structure 1 that one surface of a protective film 125 is adjacent to the other surface of the anti- ferromagnetic film 124, the base film 126 has a face-centered cubic crystal structure and (111) face orientation and the (111) face interval of the spin valve film structure except the anti-ferromagnetic film is in the range of 0.2050-0.2064 (nm).
