PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform accurate inspection by automating the inspection of the strength of a bottle. SOLUTION: A bottle inspection device is equipped with a hammer 90 supported in a freely shakable manner at its upper end and having a weight 93 provided at its lower end, and a hammer drive mechanism 80 performing operation swinging up the hammer 90 to allow the weight 93 to fall from a set position. The hammer drive mechanism 80 is equipped with the drive arm 84 engageable with the hammer 90, and a driver 81 for driving the drive arm 84 in the state engaged with the hammer 90 to swing up the hammer 90. The driver 81 releases the engagement of the drive arm 84 with the hammer to allow the weight 93 to fall when the weight 93 is raised to the set position.
