摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain regenerative signals of large signal strength and good quality from a header on which recording is executed as projected-recessed patterns of a substrate in a magneto-optical recording medium of a near-field recording type. SOLUTION: Width in a radial direction for one track of a projected pattern or a recessed pattern constituting the header is made to be wider than at least an effective radius of read-out beam and further when adjacent tracks have the same patterns, a shape of continuous patterns in a radial direction is formed.
