PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for providing a proper control signal for automatically judging the range of user interface extending capabilities to be used by a user, and using such user interface extension. SOLUTION: This is a method and device for providing a proper control signal for automatically judging the range of user interface extending capabilities to be used by a user and using such user interface extension. A computer connected with the user interface having the range of the extending capabilities to be used by the user, is also provided in this invention. In this method and device, a control signal is generated for automatically judging the range of the user interface extending capabilities and using the extending capabilities within the range. Then, the control signal is carried from the computer to the user interface.
