PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical scanner which can prevent the difference of temperature by a spot in an optical casing from generating and can adjust a focal position of a light beam surely well by turning heat conductivity of the optical casing high, and changing the temperature in the easing into the almost equal state. SOLUTION: In the optical scanner equipped with a light source part 1, a coupling lens 2, a deflector 5, a scanning image-formation system 6, a detecting means, and a controlling means, the light source part 1, the coupling lens 2, deflector 5, the scanning image-formation system 6, the detecting means, and the controlling means are housed in the optical casing. Material of the optical casing consists of the material with high heat conductivity so as to uniform the temperature in the casing as much as possible.
