METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RESETTING BULK SYNCHRONIZATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a communication impossible time by resetting a layer 1 without executing synchronization re-establishing sequence processing based on a bulk synchronization establishing sequence for call connection at the time of restoration after occurrence of an instantaneous disconnection fault of the layer 1 during communication. SOLUTION: In the device which resets bulk synchronization at the time of restoration from the instantaneous disconnection fault of the layer 1 which has occurred during communication in a communication system where synchronization of plural transmission line is established to connect data communication terminals 3 facing each other, a terminal adapter 1 is provided with a layer 1 resetting means 13 and a control circuit 21 which controls the sending timing of a cell to be sent from the terminal adapter to a transmission line on the basis of difference in the extent of delay between transmission lines. The layer 1 resetting means 13 consists of a delay value measurement result storage means 131, which measures differences in the extent of delay of transmission speeds between transmission lines and stores their values, and an artificial pattern generation means 132 which artificially generates a detection signal of the last synchronizing pattern of the bulk synchronization establishing sequence for call connection consisting of plural synchronizing patterns.
