<p>A reliable locking mechanism of drawing compass (16) that is used to scribe circle and curve includes an integrated axial locking system. The integrated axial locking system comprises two locking assemblies (8, 8') with multi start screws located at both ends of a threaded rod (11) of the drawing compass (16). And the fine axial adjustment of said arms (7, 15) of said drawing compass (16) depends on the direction of rotation of the actuating wheel (12) being rotatably mounted at said threaded rod (11) but subject to lock or unlock condition of said locking assemblies (8, 8') respectively. The drawing compass with such locking mechanism is user friendly and precise.</p> |
