The electromagnetic valve is designed to reduce the transversal force in the region of the valve seat (8) which acts on the magnet armature and the valve closure member leading to eccentric alignment of these components relative to the valve sleeve and to the guide sleeve of the valve closure member, resulting in increased friction between the components while the valve opens. The plunger (13) now has a flexural section (14) in order to reduce the transversal force in the region of the valve seat (8), and the section (14) extends between the magnet armature (5) and the valve closure member (7).
