Preventive or therapeutic drugs, which inhibit the progression of fibrogenesis in the skin or other various organs while preventing the progression of various complications, and are so safe by virtue of their being free from adverse effects as to bring about enhancement in the quality of daily life of a patient. Specifically, preventive or therapeutic drugs for fibrosis containing chymase inhibitors as the active ingredient, wherein the chymase inhibitors are quinazoline derivatives of the general formula (I) or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof.
